Scheduled Mint / Hot Sale Mint

Setting a start date and end date to minting wearables/emotes could reinvigorate creator sales.
Creators could not only add pressure to sales by setting an end time, but could also set up publishments for the future - whether it be during peak hours or on specific dates.
Canessa recommended a possibility of an option to burn remaining supply that don't get minted during the scheduled window.
She also suggested a special area of the marketplace that focuses on 24 hour only mints, or other filtered timelines; "3 day mints, 7 day mints, 30 day mints" categories of the marketplace.

Hey DOCTOR dripp, I'm shaping this initiative and I was curious about the duration a hot sale should have. It shouldn't be possible to put an item on hot-sale for an infinite amount of time so it is not abused. Do you think 15 days could be a limit? 30 days?
I would appreciate your feedback so we can create the best possible solution. Thank you!

I agree - not infinite, otherwise it wouldn't be a hot sale :D
It would be nice to set any custom increment, whether it be set by a date (select your end date from a date menu), or just a selected period of time (1-30 days) I think 30 or 90 day cap would be fine.
I also think it would be nice to be able to select any amount up to the cap, not predefined. So if the cap is 30 days, then maybe I can select 9 days if I want. This is where selecting start and end date might be nice because then I could select the exact time period, and could even have the option to delay it. So I don't have to wake up in the middle of the night to start a planned hot sale, for example.

DOCTOR dripp Thanks for your feedback :)
I was also thinking of making it flexible within the 30 days cap with an start and end date. If it is technically viable, we'll do it that way!

Hello DOCTOR dripp.
You can currently decide when a collection is on-sale or not, but I guess you ment something different here? Would you please share more details on how do you imagine this from a buyer point of view? or provide an example of another platform/product that does something like this? Thanks.
DOCTOR dripp
When publishing, set a scheduled time for the mint to end. Nifty Island does this.
So if I want you to only be able to mint an item for 30 days, after 30 days the item is automatically removed from the market with an option to auto burn the remainder.

DOCTOR dripp: The current smart contract doesn't support expiration dates for Mints (it does for Listings when you are re-selling a minted item). So this request requires a high level of effort as creating a new smart contract is time consuming and expensive as it needs to be audited to ensure it is secure. However, I will shape this initiative so we can have it scoped and tackle it as soon as we can.
In the meantime, you can do it manually by removing the collection from the Marketplace so it is no longer available for mint (this is done from the Builder on the Collection detail page). Then you can transfer the remaining items to the 0x0000 address so they are burned.
